Questions to Ask When Joining a Testing Team

In my mind there are two basic points you are trying to address, will this organization be functional and is there a good culture fit. I strongly recommend joining the actual team server to talk with all people involved in addition to speaking with the team captain. If you have suggestions for more specific questions let me know.

• How big is the team?
• What does timezone distribution of people on the team look like?
• What is the expected timeline for testing?
• Is work being explicitly assigned?
• Is there a good split between limited and constructed experts?
• How many people on the team play a lot? If I posted about looking to test at at a random time how likely is it that I can find someone to battle? How about same question but after work hours?

• What are the goals of people on the team?
• How does everyone feel about 17Lands?
• Is convergence in deck choice a goal of the testing process?
• What is the biggest issue facing the team? Does this relate to value you think I can provide?
